History Jacobs Autobody has been in business since 1986. Our first location on Stanley Ave. and Keowee St. was a cold beverage drive-thru that John Jacobs converted into a custom body and paint shop. John, a certified engine and custom car re-builder, with an aggressive business plan, and two veteran body men formed the foundation of a new facility to offer the public personalized quality car repair. After a few short years, John's business had grown beyond the buildings capacity. In 1992, John built a new location at the corner of Needmore Rd. and Wagner Ford Rd. After a few more years of producing quality work, he realized that he needed more room again. Since the business was doing so well at the Needmore location, John built a new state of the art facility, with new frame racks and paint booths across the street. Shortly there after, he converted the first shop into our Car Care Center. With 2 shops to work out of, we now have a total of over 16,000 square feet of floor space and bays with 14' high doors. We now have the means to handle RVs, fire trucks, or any other large vehicles that customers may need serviced. We also have cutting edge diagnostic equipment with instant online service information for any vehicle. This includes manufacturers Technical Service Bulletins which provides the modern day mechanic with priceless information. We are also established with most insurance companies online to digitally upload and download your information to assist in returning your vehicle to pre-accident condition as quickly as possible.
